Pavement Chalk Artist

Julian Beever is a magician who creates elaborate, impressive illusions using chalk on public pavements. It's all but impossible to do justice to his work in words - it really has to be seen.

There are several sites displaying pictures of his work, but few credit him by name (Americans who include him on their sites tend to just call him "the sidewalk chalk guy").

This site is his own, showing off his chalk work and more traditional paintings. The site itself is far from state of the art, but click on the pictures to enlarge them … and marvel.
