The anticipation building in the lead-up to the 2010 opening of the ambitious MONA (Museum of Old and New Art) outside Hobart has had a very welcome side effect. Linking the notions art + Tasmania seems to have freed up a far greater appreciation of just how much creative life already flourishes there.
