Come just to inhale the incredible scent of the Huon pine. You can almost feel it doing you good even as you step through the doorway.

There's something magical about this tree and its timber: its silky finished texture, its rich perfume and its powerful symbolic role in the whole farmed vs wild debate.

The long, spacious shop and gallery are between the road (the long road that winds along Strahan's shoreline) and the water. In the workshop you can see the objects being made. In the gallery you'll find beautifully crafted Huon pine objects, from butter knives to clocks.

It's hard to choose between the purely functional and the seductive, but whatever you decide on will certainly hold its own over time. It's already been reclaimed from the waste of logging history, now you can give it a rightful place of your own.
