Gallery means gallery in the big city sense of the word here, not the country craft sense in which it is used in many other parts of the island. It's a small white box with big windows where nothing deflects your attention from the art.

The space is versatile and thoughtfully set up. The shows are chosen across a mix of genres and geographic bases, promising something interesting on each visit.

Local artists include Matt Calvert, whose windscreen-glass sculptures have a dark, glittering poignancy, Megan Keating and her finely cut silk images and Adam Geczy's video-based work. Criterion also represents some fine national and international talent, too.
