You certainly wouldn't turn in here simply because there's a sign saying Cafe. Not when it seems to be just another other pretty little country house. But the locals do, because they know something special is tucked in at the back.

Remi and Ginette Bancal have opened up their elegant dining room to a sunny deck in order to welcome travellers to a little country cafe with a big dose of French charm.

With fruit from their own and local orchards, they make delicious preserves that find their way into crepes and cakes. From their garden they take vegetables and eggs for simple savoury dishes.

With a background in hospitality in Paris and elsewhere, the Bancals know how to make a good coffee, too, and there's no setting like a country garden to enhance the enjoyment of good, fresh fare.
