This is a bookshop that looks like a card shop (it's that too). It's a fine example of the pre-makeover era, where great books are simply shelved and left for readers to hunt out their own treasures.

All the popular culture genres are here: crime, romance, sci-fi and fantasy. There might not be any arty designer decor, but there is a good solid range of art and design books. Similarly, there's no digital marketing hype, but there is a good range of computer and marketing books. There's no cafe, nor lounge space for visiting authors and book signings, but a good range of local authors are represented on the shelves and there are enough local travel guides and photo books to satisfy the most information-hungry visitor.
