The feel of the large contemporary iron and glass space is a bit conference centre-ish, so just concentrate on the view over the vineyards, the tranquil silky river and up to the hills beyond. The dishes are of the ModOz bistro style, nicely done and not too tricksy.

Rosevears is part of Dr Andrew Pirie's expanding Tamar Ridge enterprise, so there's a wide variety of wines to taste from estates across the island. The team really know their wines, and you can learn a lot without leaving the building.
